Should Players do more for the Fans? – Mings Goodwill Gesture

Ipswich Town footballer gave a skint fan two tickets this weekend after striking up a conversation on twitter.

The fan contacted Tyrone Mings on twitter to wish him luck for the game and stated he wished he was there followed by #skint.

Mings left the tickets at the Portman Road gate for the fan and added “you shouldn’t miss a game cos you cant afford it”.

Mr Monk the fan who received the tickets said he often tweeted Ipswich players on match days to strike up a conversation and wish them luck, but he didn’t anticipate a response.

Mings has been praised for his generosity and Mr Monk said “It just goes to show, with modern footballers, some do care about the fans”.

Mings was an unused substitute for the game against Bolton on Saturday in there 1-0 win. The tweet from Mings has been retweeted thousands of times.
