Wisewood Sports Centre – New Facility – New League
Wisewood Sports Centre is a sports and physical facility based in the S6 area of Sheffield, off Laird Road, it provides exercise classes, fitness gym and sports clubs to help people stay fit, active and healthy.
As part of its commitment to community exercise it is in the process of finalising a brand new 3G artificial pitch. The project has been run in conjunction with Sheffield City Council and the Football Foundation.
The Sports Centre has linked in with two community clubs to ensure further development of junior football in the community. The two clubs Sheffield Sixes and Wisewood Juniors will utilise the facility for training boys and girls, giving them the opportunity to play football and be active.
The brand new facility is officially opening in June of this year. However Back of the Net Leagues will be running a five a side league at the venue on Monday evenings starting in April after the Easter break.
